Almost one year ago, on January 29, 2017, a white man entered a mosque in Quebec City in Canada and in the course of a few minutes, murdered Azzeddine Soufiane, Mamadou Tanou Barry, Khaled Belkacemi, Aboubaker Thabti, Ibrahima Barry and Abdelkrim Hassane. Five others were badly injured: Aymen Derbali, Said El-Amari, Mohamed Khabar, Nizar Ghlai and Said Akjour.

Saturday January 27 from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at 4201 Bélanger, with Adil Charkaoui, coordinator of the Collectif Canadien Anti-Islamophobie

Sunday January 28 from 1pm to 4pm at Place de la Gare-Jean-Talon, 395 Jean Talon Ouest, with the AlRawdah Mosque and various partner organizations

Sunday January 28 from 4pm to 7pm CDN/NDG/Westmount contrel’islamophobie et la haine, community gathering and candlelight march leaving from the Unitarian Church of Montreal, 5035 boulevard de Maisonneuve O. (near Vendome metro).

Monday January 29 from 11:30am to 4:30pm at Montreal City Hall, 275 Notre-Dame Est, with Valérie Plante and the Conseil National des Musulmans Canadiens

Monday January 29 from 12:15 to 1pm, on the steps of the McGill Arts Building, with McGill Anti-Racist

Monday, Jan 29 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. CKUT-FM 90,3FM is devoting an hour for the commemoration.
